There are a lot of mis-understanding about Affiliate Marketing which attracting a lot of people to it believing they are true, make money is easy from Affiliate Marketing, managing an online business is easy, make a fortune through online marketing in an instant and so on, this is not the actual case. Probably not even 10% of those who are into affiliate marketing became rich overnight. There may be some who fortunately achieved overwhelming success in just a short span of time after setting up an affiliate program, but not a majority of them can confidently say they only had luck. Anyone who is successful in this kind of business would say he worked hard to get to where he is right now. Success in affiliate marketing takes time and hard work, but it’s worth it.
Here are 6 lessons that I have learned from the truth about Affiliate Marketing from Wealthy Affiliate
1. Know Who are Your Audience
The most successful way to use affiliate programs is to know what are your readers want, anticipate and meet the needs of your readers. What subject attract the reader coming to your site. What are you providing that they are looking for? Make sure the affiliate products you are promoting provide a solution to your audience's problems.
If you are writing about weight loss, don't put up affiliate ads for food discount coupon, this will contradict what you are telling your reader. The people who are coming to read your post and learning the system do not want to think about food when they're on your site.
The more relevant the ads are to your readers, the more likely they will use them.
2. Be Trustworthy
Nowadays, readers are savvy and extremely alert. They know that those are affiliate links when they see one. If you break their trust by promoting a product you don't even believe in or they though that you are taking advantage of their visit with too many ads, they will close and leave, never come back again.
Remember that It is your repeat visitors that will drive traffic to your site. They are the ones who will give you linkbacks, spread the word, sharing on their social media and recommend your site. You need to build a relationship based on genuine content and the value that they received by visiting your site.
If your visitors don't think that you're being honest, they won't read anything else you have to say.
3. Select Your product Carefully
A good and experienced Affiliate Marketer will always take their time to go through all the different options for products or services available through different affiliate marketing programs and not in a rush to advertise anything available. Put some thought into the niche and consider which products or services your readers may need or like, do some keyword research through some trustable keyword research tools, we are using Jaxxy as a recommended keyword research tool in WA community. Also, change the ads around often, try different ones, and use different graphics and text to see which are the most effective and make your site look professional.
It may take some time before you figure out the best formula to your success in Affiliate Marketing, and you may also find that you need to have good keyword build in and continually renew your ads to attract more attention.
4. Write Good Content
Your content is your foundation, the life blood on which the site exists. Without valuable and helpful content, readers won't come. Focus on providing excellent content and the monetizing strategies will work out.
The key to draw visitors to your website is to have high quality content; thus, the next thing you must pay attention to in building your marketing website is this. There may be several other factors that contribute to the success of your affiliate marketing site, but a good content tops the list. This is precisely the reason why users choose to enter your site. They want to get information and so when they don’t find it, they would definitely go elsewhere. Write interesting articles related to your theme as this would make them visit your site more frequently. If you have already looked for affiliate programs that complement your site, add links to the business sites and other very good informative sites. Links contribute to how well you will be listed in major search engines as well. Also, create pages for the products you are endorsing, but don’t just promote the products by putting hyperlink ads. Keep your readers interested by injecting lots of relevant and useful information, research the keyword using Jaxxy, find the good to best keyword to use in your content. This would make them click the link to the business site and buy the product. Remember that no good content means no frequent visitors, no sales and ultimately, no commission.

Grow from where you started. Learn about use of keywords for search engine optimization and apply them in your content. Update your site regularly or add new webpages. Make sure to inform your prospects about the latest updates in your site. You can use newsletters to accomplish this.
